ISLAMABAD: The Military Accountant General has terminated the services of Junior Auditor Habibullah, following an investigation by the Controller Military Accounts into CMA (FWO) KM Section. Consequently, Habibullah has been instructed to surrender his entire General Provident Fund to the national treasury.
The Military Accountant General, Kashif Ahmad Noor, conducted a departmental inquiry into the alleged corruption case in CMA (FWO) KM Section. After charges against Junior Auditor Habibullah were proved, the competent authority dismissed him from service with effect from October 22. The case of the remaining employees has been sent to the defence secretary for further action with the recommendations of the inquiry officer, sources said. According to the office order issued by the Military Accountant General Office, Rawalpindi, as a result of the inquiry, Habibullah was found guilty of misconduct, dishonesty and unsatisfactory performance, for which he was entitled to the severe punishment of “dismissal from service”. Habibullah was dismissed under Rule 4(3)(e) of the Civil Servants (Efficiency and Discipline) Rules, 2020, while under Rule 4(3)(a) of the Civil Servants (Efficiency and Discipline) Rules, 2020. Instructions have been issued to deposit all his GP funds in the national exchequer. Habibullah can file an appeal before the higher authorities within 30 days under the provisions of the Civil Servants (Appeals) Rules, 1977, it concluded.
