Performance of Model Town, Cantt division police reviewed
LAHORE:Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana Wednesday reviewed the performance of police of Model Town and Cantt divisions.
The CCPO emphasised implementing "Key Performance Indicators" introduced by the Punjab Chief Minister for the police. He directed divisional officers to enhance their performance and ensure full compliance with these indicators.
He also assigned the task of taking action against cops involved in negligence in drug-related investigations to the SSP (Investigation). The CCPO instructed the SSP (Operations) to launch crackdown on drug peddlers.
He announced a certificate of appreciation and a cash reward for the in-charge (Investigation) of Factory Area police. He asked cops to ensure timely attendance in courts with complete preparation. The CCPO also instructed supervisory officers to conduct daily visit to check the security arrangements at banks and enforce SOPs strictly.
He highlighted the importance of utilizing modern technology, including police software like Hotel Eye to ensure the arrest of wanted criminals. DIG (Investigation) Zeeshan Asghar, DIG (Operations) Muhammad Faisal Kamran, SSP (Admin) Atif Nazir, SSP (Investigation) Muhammad Naveed, SSP (Operations) Tassawar Iqbal and the SPs, ASPs, Circle Officers, SHOs, and Incharge (Investigation) from Model Town and Cantt divisions also attended the meeting.
IG meets cops, families
Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Punjab Dr Usman Anwar Wednesday met police employees and their families at the Central Police Office (CPO). He listened to their requests and issued immediate relief orders on their applications.
The IGP issued instructions to the DIG Welfare to provide relief on the request of the wife of late Constable Muhammad Amin regarding the pending eight months' salary and financial assistance. He directed the DIG Welfare to provide assistance for the wedding expenses of Constable Zahid Hussain's daughter.
The IGP directed the DIG Welfare to provide assistance for the medical expenses of Constable Rafiqat Ali's son. He issued orders regarding other requests related to administration, discipline, and welfare.
