Bird conservation

The Demoiselle crane, also known as the Koong, is found in Central Eurasia, ranging from the Black Sea to Mangolia and north eastern China. These cranes and migratory ducks can also be seen in our markets. These birds have ecological benefits because they prey on insects and weeds, thus contributing towards the betterment of agriculture.
There is a dire need to conserve migratory birds and their habitats in our country. Many nations have government agencies and NGOs dedicated to wildlife conservation that helps implement policies designed to protect wildlife. The government should take serious legal steps for the protection of migratory birds and impose a ban on their illegal hunting.
