World Na’at contest at UVAS
LAHORE:First hybrid international Na'at competition was held at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS).
A large number of Na'at Khawans from different local institutions and foreign countries including Norway, Sweden, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia participated in this contest through video link. Former Minister for Auqaf & Religious Affairs Punjab Peer Saeed ul Hassan Shah was the chief guest of the competition and he distributed medals, certificates and cash prizes among the winners.
Renowned Na'at Khawan Akhtar Hussain Qureshi was the judge. In the junior category contest, Sayyeda Madeeha secured 1st position, Muhammad Ameer Ali Qadri 2nd while Ibrahim Rashid stood 3rd. In the senior category contest, Ayesha Akbar secured 1st position, Muhammad Hamid Yasin 2nd while Tariq Ali was 3rd.
