Gold prices soar by Rs700 per tola, reach new all-time high

KARACHI: Gold prices rose by Rs700 per tola on Thursday in the local market following an increase in the international market. With this increase, gold rates in the local and international markets have reached an all-time high.
The All Sindh Saraf Jewellers Association stated that gold rates reached Rs277,900 per tola.Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold rose by Rs600 to Rs238,254.
Gold rates increased by $7 to $2,682 per ounce in the international market, which is also an all-time high rate. Silver rates remained unchanged at Rs3,050 per tola. Similarly, 10-gram silver rates also stood the same at Rs2,614.88.
Prices in the local market are adjusted by a premium of $20 against rates in the international market.
