Gang rape suspects held

LAHORE:Police Wednesday arrested suspects involved in the gang rape of a woman. The gang-rape victim told police that her friend lured her from Multan to Layyah under the pretext of a job for her. She said when she arrived there she was gang-raped by four to five people, who also tortured her and left her in a deserted location. According to a spokesperson for Safe Cities, the police registered a case against the accused and arrested them.

11 die on road in 24 hours

Around 11 people died while 1,394 injured in 1,327 road accidents in all districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Out of these, 639 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 755 victims with minor injuries were treated on the spot by Rescue medical teams.
