Pak railways’ company lays off 8 employees in rightsizing bid
Management of the institution has laid off 8 officers and employees to reduce administrative expenses
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Railway Advisory and Consultancy Services Limited (Pracs) has decided to carry out rightsizing of staff in view of heavy financial burden and limited resources. The management of the institution has laid off 8 officers and employees to reduce administrative expenses.
Among the officers who have been relieved are Azhar Imran, Director IT, Lahore Office; Manzoor Hussain, AD Head Office, Rawalpindi; Fawad Ali Khan, Deputy Manager Admin, Head office Rawalpindi; Nadeem Hashmi, Deputy Manager, Head Office Rawalpindi; Mohammad Hafeez, Junior Assistant Rawalpindi; Syed Salman Ali, Assistant Director, sub-office Karachi; Kamran Sohail, Naib Qasid, Rawalpindi and Shamaila Ruhi, Telephone Operator, Rawalpindi.
These employees have been relieved from September 30, 2024. They will also be paid an additional salary of one month for the notice period. Sources say that the proxy company currently does not have any trains and does not require such a large staff for only the current reservation and inquiry office.
