Traders urged to understand concept of Tajir Dost Scheme
LAHORE:Chief Coordinator Tajir Dost Scheme Naeem Mir said that the traders direly need to understand the concept of the ongoing Tajir Dost Scheme as the non-filer traders are paying more taxes than that of filers.
"By becoming filer, the non-filer traders can get relief from higher taxes" he said during a seminar held for journalists and consequent press conference at RTO Lahore. The chief coordinator gave a detailed briefing to the participants on SRO 457 and 1064 and proposed amendments in them. "The burden of indirect taxes in utility bills, petrol along with other items as well as withholding and sales tax can only be reduced if the traders pay their due taxes to the state" Mir stated.
"While commenting on the latest positive economic indicators, the Chief Coordinator stated that reduction in trade deficit and surge in exports is one of the major economic achievements of the federal government.
