Speaker declares Parliament Lodges sub-jail for 10 PTI MNAs
These MNAs were taken into custody from inside Parliament House building and in front of Parliament House
ISLAMABAD: Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has further facilitated 10 MNAs of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) who are in custody of Islamabad Police by declaring Parliament Lodges as sub-jail enabling them to attend each sitting of the National Assembly.
“In exercise of power conferred by sub-rule (3) of rule 108 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly 2007, the Speaker has been pleased to declare Parliament lodges as sub-jail for custody of members after each sitting of the National Assembly”, Adviser (Legal) while conveyed directions of the Speaker to the Ministry of Interior said. The Speaker had also issued production orders of these 10 MNAs including Sher Afzal Marwat, Malik Aamir Dogar, Muhammad Ahmed Chattha, Makhdoom Zain Qureshi, Shaikh Waqas Akram, Zubair Khan Wazir, Awais Haider Jakhar, Shah Ahad Ali Shah, Nasim Ali Shah and Yousaf Khan. These MNAs were taken into custody from inside the Parliament House building and in front of the Parliament House.
