CCPO reviews cops’ performance

LAHORE : The Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Friday chaired Orderly Room to review performance of officers and staff from various wings of the Lahore Police. During this year's 13 Orderly Room, the CCPO heard 2,115 appeals from police employees. Warnings were issued for 1,957 appeals involving for minor infractions, while 64 appeals were rejected. He stated that the purpose of hearing the appeals is to help eliminate the archaic culture of favoritism. He emphasised that a robust self-accountability mechanism is in place within the police department to ensure merit.
