BD decides to replace high commissioner to Islamabad
Government of Pakistan has also issued the letter of appointment of the new high commissioner

ISLAMABAD: Dhaka has decided to replace its High Commissioner in Pakistan Ruhol Alam and nominated Muhammad Iqbal Hussain as its new High Commissioner in Pakistan.
The Government of Pakistan has also issued the letter of appointment of the new high commissioner. Muhammad Iqbal heads the Foreign Services Academy in Dhaka and is a senior and an experienced diplomat.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Cyrus Sajjad Qazi, who is currently in Cameroon to attend the OIC Foreign Ministers meeting, has met Tawheed Hussain, Adviser to the Foreign Ministry of Bangladesh, on the sidelines. Various issues have been discussed, including strengthening the relationship between Dhaka and Islamabad. Both agreed to continue series of contacts in future.
