Rawalpindi: Against expensive electricity and financial terrorism of IPPs, protests will be held in all business centres and markets of Pharma Trade from 2 to 3 p.m. Pharmacies and chemists will not completely close their business for the patients convenience and public difficulties, says a press release.

Pharma Trade stands with the business community and knows how to use all options of protest till the realisation of legitimate demands.

These decisions were announced in an emergency meeting of the Pakistan Chemists and Druggists Association (PCDA), at the Central Liaison Office on Mall Road, Rawalpindi via videolink. In the PCDA meeting, group leaders from Karachi, Salahuddin,

Ghulam Hashim Noorani, Zahid Bakhtawari from Punjab and Chairman Central Sirajuddin from Peshawar and other provincial chairmen participated. It was unanimously decided in the meeting that the Pakistan Chemist and Druggist Association stands side by side with the business community of Pakistan in today’s strike.

And the government of Pakistan demands immediate recognition of all our demands, and the unrest spread in the country should be ended immediately. If the government does not listen to their demands after today’s strike, Pharma Trade will also join the shutter down strike along with other business organisations. It was said in the meeting that the country is currently facing a critical economic situation, so the government should take decisions in the right direction keeping in mind the ground realities.
