Two cops held in man’s kidnap, murder case
LAHORE:The murder mystery of a 33-year-old man, who was abducted from Faisal Town and later murdered allegedly by three policemen, has been solved.
The victim, Farrukh Arshad, was kidnapped and murdered by three policemen, two of whom are currently in police custody while one remains at large. The murderers have been identified as Muazam Hussain, who was stationed at Garden Town police station, Ejaz, who was posted at Township police station, and Hamza, a dismissed constable from the Dolphin Squad. Muazam was apprehended in Kahana, and Ejaz was arrested in Garden Town. Hamza, however, has not yet been captured.
On August 18, the accused kidnapped Farrukh and took him to Flat No 32, Sharif Plaza, in Ichhra. The motive behind the kidnapping was financial gain. During the ordeal, Farrukh attempted to escape by jumping from the roof of Sharif Plaza but tragically died from the fall. Following the incident, Muazam discarded Farrukh's mobile phone and wallet in the jurisdiction of Shahdara police.
