ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sent to superintendent Adiala jail the petition from Bushra Bibi against her mistreatment in jail.
Justice Miangul Hassan of IHC took up the case for hearing Monday. The counsel for the petitioner said registrar office raised objections over the petition of Bushra Bibi. First objection was Superintendent Adiala jail is subordinate to Punjab government. The second objection is petition cannot be filed in IHC for initiating any proceedings against Adiala jail authorities.
Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb remarked the objection raised by the office is based on mala fide intent. The accused is arrested from Islamabad in NAB case. Adiala jail is jail of Islamabad only to the extent of prisoners of Islamabad. Office is warned not to raise such objections in future.
Later Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb remarked this petition be placed before superintendent Adiala jail as application. He ordered superintendent jail should take action on this petition as per law.
