LAHORE : Secretary Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial said that Gopi Rai and Niaz Beg Sports Complexes will be constructed in provincial capital. Besides this, a modern elite training centre is being built in Nishtar Park Sports Complex.
He shared this information while addressing a meeting of the Departmental Development Sub-Committee at Punjab Stadium.
In the meeting, six sports schemes were approved under Khailta Punjab programme and a digital project was also presented in collaboration with the Sports Department and PITB. So far a total of 129 sports schemes have been approved by the Departmental Development Sub-Committee
Addressing the meeting, Secretary Youth Affairs Punjab said that new sports complexes will be built at Taxila, Rawalpindi, Kamoke and Gujranwala. “Kotli Ameer Ali Sports Complex in Sialkot is also being restored,” he maintained.
Muzaffar Sial further said that all possible measures are being taken for the development of sports culture across the province. “Development of sports activities among the younger generation is our mission,” he asserted.
