Police arrest father for drowning infant daughter

LALAMUSA: In a shocking incident, the body of three-month-old Zainab has been recovered from a canal after being allegedly thrown in by her father, Ali Ahmad Sabri. The tragic event unfolded on the night of August 7 in Khokhran village, under the jurisdiction of Dinga Police Station. According to reports, Sabri, enraged over the birth of a daughter, snatched Zainab from her mother, Maryam Ayesha, during a heated argument and hurled her into the canal. The infant’s body was found on August 8 from near Saruki Bridge.
