Body of girl child retrieved from river

BATKHELA: The body of a six-year old girl child, who had drowned in Swat River, was retrieved from the river at Landaki point on Wednesday.
One Badshah Rahman, a resident of Gumbatabad in Batkhela, along with his family members had gone for a picnic to the scenic site Landaki Depot located near Swat River.During the visit, his daughter Manahil, 6, was walking along the river bank when all of a sudden she slipped and was swept away by gushing water. Local residents, volunteers and the family members launched a search for the child and finally her body was retrieved from Landaki where she had drowned some four days ago.
