GUJRANWALA: During a video link meeting to review flood arrangements, Commissioner Gujranwala Naveed Haider Sherazi directed all departments to finalise flood preparedness plans, emphasising the safety of life and property.
Deputy commissioners from all districts, representatives from Wasa, Rescue 1122, Irrigation, Revenue, DDMA, and relevant departments participated.Deputy Commissioners provided detailed briefings on flood and safety measures in their respective districts, informing the commissioner that preliminary preparation instructions have been issued to all concerned departments. They added that mock exercises have been conducted to assess the readiness of officers, staff, and machinery, with further steps to be taken as needed.
