Teen burnt alive over land dispute in Muzaffargarh
FIR stated that the victim was tied to a tree and set on fire
MUZAFFARGARH: An 18-year-old boy was allegedly burned to death over a land dispute in Muzaffargarh, south Punjab, Geo News reported Monday.
The teenager, Ehsanullah, was burned alive in Seetpur, a city in Alipur Tehsil of Muzaffargarh, the police revealed. The police added that a case against the perpetrators has been registered on behalf of the boy’s uncle.
According to first information report (FIR) filed by the victim’s uncle, their family and the suspects were involved in a land dispute. It further stated that the young boy was taken to the THQ hospital in Alipur which referred him to Multan.
Additionally, the FIR stated that the victim was tied to a tree and set on fire. It added that he later succumbed to his injuries. The uncle said that he has also been issued death threats before.
The police filed a murder case against four people at the Seetpur police station on the family’s complaint. The law enforcement officials said that a investigation of the case is undergoing and they are conducting raids to arrest the suspects.
