Urs celebrations of Baba Farid begin in Pakpattan
PAKPATTAN: The Urs celebrations of Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Masood Ganj Shakar (RA) started here on Tuesday.
The Bahishti Darwaza was opened amid prayers for the country.
Sahiwal Region RPO Mehboob Rasheed along with Sahiwal District and Sessions Judge Aurangzeb, Sahiwal Commissioner Shoaib Iqbal Syed, Okara DPO Tariq Aziz Sindhu and Pakpattan DPO Tariq Wilayat participated in the Urs celebrations.
A large number of pilgrims from far-off areas of the country and country participated in eth Urs.
On the other hand, the district administration and police had adopted strict security arrangements to avoid any untoward incident.
RPO DIG Mehboob Rasheed visited the control room where monitoring process was being conducted. All administrative officials expressed satisfaction with the arrangements.
