Legal education is highly esteemed, but there's a gap: law professors provide a solid foundation but often miss out on the latest legal developments. Stuck in their academic roles, they lack real-world case experience. In contrast, visiting faculty members bring fresh perspectives, engaging students with relevant examples that make complex concepts clear. The issue isn’t intelligence but the permanent teachers' lack of practice, leading to stale knowledge.
The problem stems from laws preventing government teachers from practising law in courts. Allowing them time off to stay updated with current cases, especially in constitutional courts, could revolutionize legal education, keeping it relevant and dynamic for future lawyers.
