KARACHI: Attorney General for Pakistan Mansoor Awan on Saturday said the federal government has not decided to file the review appeal on the Supreme Court’s full court judgment on reserved seats of women and minorities in the National and provincial assemblies.
Talking with journalists after oath-taking ceremony of Sindh High Court (SHC) Chief Justice Mohammad Shafi Siddiqui, the attorney general said that it was the full court judgment and the government would have to file the review appeal after carefully deliberating on the pros and cons of the judgment. The attorney general said that there was a discussion on the judgment of SC’s full bench by the government. It will be the federal government’s decision whether to file the review or not but right now there was no discussion at the cabinet level or higher level on the review appeal.
