Passer-by killed as police post attacked in Mardan

MARDAN: A passerby was killed while two others, including a cop, were injured when suspected militants opened fire at a police

post here late Friday, officials said. The police and Rescue 1122 sources said suspected militants attacked the Shahidano Police Post located on the Rustam-Buner Road at 9:45 pm.

A passerby identified as Ihtesham, 15, was caught in the firing and died on the spot while a police constable identified as Amjad Khan and a passerby, Hidayat Umar, were injured in the firing. The attackers escaped from the scene after committing the crime.
