Minister, MPAs visit Kohat grid station over loadshedding concerns
KOHAT: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Law, Aftab Alam Afridi advocate, along with MPAs Shafi Jan and Daud Shah Afridi, conducted a surprise visit to the Kohat grid station on Friday.
During their visit, they expressed serious concern over the unannounced electricity load-shedding affecting the region.
The minister personally drafted a load-shedding schedule on the spot and directed the Wapda authorities to ensure its implementation.Speaking on the occasion, the minister criticised the federal government for failing to meet its responsibilities. He highlighted that WAPDA, being a federally administered authority, was perpetrating injustices against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
“The mandate-thief government in the federal office is constantly mistreating the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” he stated. Afridi assured the public that the provincial government stands with them on all genuine issues.
He mentioned that Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, had instructed all parliamentarians in the province to visit grid stations in their respective areas, establish a load-shedding schedule, and ensure its enforcement.
“This visit to the grid station, along with my fellow assembly members, is in compliance with the chief minister’s clear instructions,” Aftab Alam said.
