LAHORE : Misri Shah police have arrested a suspect for harassing a married woman.
The arrested suspect was identified as Abdul Rahim. He was the neighbour of the woman.
The victim woman was living with her children and husband.
She was home alone when the suspect approached her and forced her to take pictures with him. He used different means and tactics to harass her. Police on her complaint arrested the suspect and registered a case against him.
Two die in City
Two persons lost their lives in different incidents in the city on Saturday. A 65-year-old man was found dead near Shahdara Mor. Police said that the man, yet to be identified, died of hot weather.
Meanwhile, a 50-year-old man died in a traffic accident in the limits of Chung police.
A high-speed Mazda truck crushed the man.
The identity of the victim was yet to be ascertained. Edhi volunteers shifted the bodies to the mortuary.
Two robbers arrested
Organised Crime Unit (OCU) Defence has arrested two suspected robbers involved in looting citizens especially in posh areas. The arrested suspects were identified as Kamran alias Kami and M Imran. Police has recovered 123 million rupees cash and illegal weapons from their custody. The suspects were involved in many cases of dacoity, burglary and robbery. They would loot citizens on main roads and posh areas and many cases have been traced to them. Police said that they were investigating the matter further.
Valuables gutted
Valuables were gutted in fire incidents in two houses in the provincial capital on Saturday. The first case was reported in Butt Chowk, Township where fire broke out reportedly due to a short circuit. Nearby people tried to control it. However, it turned into a huge fire. Over which Rescue-1122 was alerted which extinguished the fire. The other fire case was reported in Madina Colony, Shalimar Bagh where no loss of life or injury was reported.
