Mother’s Day Cup and Super Asset Cup main events at LRC today

LAHORE: The Lahore Race Club's 37th winter meeting will conclude in grand style this Sunday (today) with two major cup races and four thrilling Brumal plates.

All six races scheduled for the day will be held over a distance of 1000 meters with Mother's Day Cup and Super Asset Cup taking the center stage.

The Mother's Day Cup, a Class VII & Division II&III affair, has eight horses vie for glory in this prestigious cup race. Public Star is considered the front-runner, with Apple of My Eye and Treasure Trip *5as potential contenders for a surprise win. Other participants include Royal Crown (KRC), Suspicious One, Kuwait Edition, Blazing Fire, and Shinning Moon.

The Super Asset Cup (Class VI & VII & Division I) has Murad, in the saddle, with expectations to lead the pack. Redrock and Leisure Trip are seen as potential challengers for the victory, while J-K, Samson, and Spartacus could cause an upset.

The day's program kicks off with the Brumal Plate (Class VII & Division VII). Abdullah Champion is the favorite, with Roshnee and Galileo Lady following closely. Other contenders include Khizer Choice, Safi Choice, Apache, Miss Shelby, Sky Warrior, Olympic Queen, Pocket Wood, Chhota Don, Capital City, and Master Prince.

The second Brumal Plate (Class VII & Division VI) features seven horses. Super Power is expected to take the lead, with Self Belief and Sultan Jahaniya as potential challengers. Amazing Star, Flokey, Raghu Bai, and Tango To Fire will also be vying for a place in the winner's circle.

The fifth race of the day is another Brumal Plate (Class VII & Division I&II). Quality Street is the favorite, with Shakira and Olympus as potential spoilers. Sehar, Alpha, Deedavar, and Song Bird will be looking to create an upset.
