5 gang rape accused of two women arrested
SIALKOT: The police have managed to trace and arrest all five accused persons who were allegedly involved in the incident of gang rape of two women.
According to the police, five masked and armed men forcibly stopped a rickshaw on the evening of 31 March 2024 near village Kothey Pardhan Singh, in the limits of the Airport police station in tehsil Sambrial.
The armed men took two women from the rickshaw along with them at gunpoint to a nearby small farmhouse where they beat up and gan-raped both. Later at night, the accused persons left the women at Majra Road and fled away.
The police registered a case on 1st April 2024 and started to trace the accused. Both the women, residents of Sambrial and Majra villages, were on the way home after visiting a local shrine.
