TANK: The flash floods triggered by heavy rains caused damage to a check dam Kaniguram area in Ladha tehsil in Upper South Waziristan.The local elders said that the check dam provided water to irrigate thousands of acres of land in Ladha tehsil.
They said the flash floods caused by the cloudburst damaged the protection walls of the irrigation scheme. The elders said that the land, which was being irritated by water from the check dam, would become barren again after the damage caused to the reservoir.
