PPP public meeting in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh today
Public meeting was earlier scheduled for April 4 but postponed in respect of Ramazan
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Peoples Party is holding a public meeting today (Sunday) at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh in Larkana to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
The public meeting was earlier scheduled for April 4 but postponed in respect of Ramazan, and now this grand public meeting will be held today (Sunday) in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that in connection with the 45th martyrdom anniversary of Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, the grand public Jalsa today (Sunday) at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Bhutto (GKB) would once again demonstrate the enduring appeal of Bhuttoism among the Pakistani people, especially the marginalized. “Let’s use this day to reaffirm our commitment to Bhutto’s ideology and principles with renewed determination,” he said. He reiterated that Sunday’s public gathering was more than just a commemoration as t’s a collective reaffirmation of the principles championed by Quaid-e-Awam, celebrating his vision for a progressive and inclusive Pakistan. “It’s a platform where the voices of the marginalized resonate, ensuring the protection of every citizen’s rights,” he said, adding that as the public gathers to honour ZAB’s legacy, the nation was also witnessing a significant milestone in the pursuit of justice. He emphasized that the recent decision by the Supreme Court of Pakistan regarding Bhutto’s case underscored the quest for truth and fairness. The court’s acknowledgment of the grave injustice inflicted upon him, affirming the denial of his fundamental right to a fair trial, serves as both a legal verdict and a moral vindication of Quaid-e-Awam’s unwavering struggle and dedication to democracy and justice.
The PPP chairman extended heartfelt gratitude to all Jiyalas making their way to GKB from across the nation for the historic gathering. “Your presence will be a powerful testament to the enduring legacy of Bhuttoism and the unwavering spirit of the Pakistani people,” he remarked. He said: “As we pay homage to Shaheed Bhutto, let’s also recommit ourselves to the ideals he sacrificed his life for.”Let’s strive to build a Pakistan where justice prevails, democracy flourishes, and every citizen is empowered to realize their full potential. Together, let’s march forward with renewed determination, inspired by the courage and conviction of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.”
