LAHORE: More than 8,000 officers and jawans of Lahore police performed security duties during Eid holidays.
Strict security arrangements were made on the entry and exit routes of the City. More than 1,000 officers and jawans were posted at parks and other recreational places. Cops in civvies were also deputed at recreational spots. DIG Operations visited Jilani Park, Greater Iqbal Park and other entertainment places and reviewed the security arrangements.
Lahore police arrested 14 accused involved in doing wheelie and 10 involved in kite flying during Eid holidays. Moreover, 34 cases were registered against illicit arms carriers and three cases were registered on firing in the air.
