Train safari to Takht Bhai Buddhist ruins on 13th

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) is going to arrange another train safari to the historic Takht Bhai Buddhist ruins on April 13

The event is being organized following the special directives of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister’s Advisor on Tourism and Culture Zahid Chanzeb, Secretary Tourism and Culture Bakhtiar Khan, KPCTA Director General Barkatullah Marwat and Manager Events Hassina Shaukat after overwhelming demand from the tourists and heritage lovers.

Zahid Chanzeb said that the KPCTA would again organise guided train tours for females and families to the historic Takht Bhai Buddhist ruins to explore the historical significance of this remarkable site.

He said the train tour was also aimed at promoting religious tourism and informing people about the KP’s rich history and heritage sites. He said the train safari would take tourists from Saddar Cantt Railway Station at 9:00am and reach Takht Bhai Railway Station after sightseeing stops at various stations, including City Railway Station, Nasirpur, Pabbi, and Mardan.

Zahid Chanzeb vowed that more activities would be organised for the entertainment of tourists and promotion of tourism in the province in future, and the train safari tour was also one of such endeavours in this regard.

KPCTA Director General Barkatullah Marwat said that the authority was arranging another guided tour for the families and tourists to highlight the grandeur of the heritage sites in KP.He said that besides KPCTA staff members, the tourists would also be facilitated by the Tourism Police so they could fully enjoy the fun-filled event during Eidul Fitr.
