ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) judge Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb on Monday asked Bushra Bibi’s counsel to file a contempt of court plea over the failure of Adiala Jail superintendent to arrange her meeting with her spouse Imran Khan despite the court order.

The direction came as the court heard a petition seeking implementation of the IHC order for the couple’s meeting. The court also summoned the advocate general, Islamabad.

The judge wondered how on earth the court’s order could be ignored. Justice Aurangzeb recalled that earlier the court had disposed of the petition with directions.

The lawyer requested the court to order the jail administration to arrange the meeting on Eidul Fitr, saying the administration had the authority to do so.
