CM orders completion of uplift projects

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has directed the officials concerned to complete the uplift projects within the stipulated time without compromising on the quality of work.

A handout said that he chaired a meeting on the Annual Development Programme (ADP) at the Chief Minister’s House.Adviser to Chief Minister on Finance Muzammil Aslam, Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah and other relevant officials attended the meeting.

The chief minister was briefed on the volume and other matters related to the ADP. Matters related to the timely completion of welfare projects were also discussed.The chief minister said the projects should be completed within the stipulated timeline without compromising on their quality.

The chief minister directed them to make the monitoring system more effective to ensure the quality of development projects being executed across the province. “We need to put in place an effective and strong monitoring mechanism for preventing malpractice in developmental activities,” he said. He added that promoting a transparent governance system in the province was among the priorities of the provincial government. The chief minister said that it was necessary to bring an end to corrupt practices. The chief minister decided to solarize the tube-wells and lights installed on main roads across the province. He said that in the first phase, road lights in all divisional headquarters should be converted to solar energy.
