Two murder accused held

LAHORE:Islampura police arrested two suspects involved in abduction and murder of a trader. The victim Abdul Hafeez was abducted few days back. His body was recovered near motorway at Sharaqpur. The victim had received three bullet injuries. Police registered a case. Muhammad Ali alias Chand Butt and Khurram alias Faisal, the suspects were hiding in chamber of a famous lawyer. When on information police tried to arrest them, they were offered with the resistance. Police despite the resistance arrested the accused persons.

Three arrested over murder of Canadian national

Nawankot police arrested three suspects involved in murder of a Canadian national. Reportedly, the victim Ali Raza was married to Qanut five six years back. Both were Canadian nationals and had two daughters out of the wedlock. The prime suspect Umair was the class-fellow of Qanut and wanted to contract a marriage with her. He in order to eliminate Ali Raza out of their way hatched a plan and murdered him with the help of his friend Mustafa.

Two members of drugs smuggling network arrested

Ichhra Police have arrested two members of an international drugs smuggling network. The arrested suspects were identified as Ashfaq and Usama. Over 11kg heroin was recovered from their custody.

SP Model Town Operations Zunair Ahmad Cheema said that the suspects were arrested near Shama drain and Muslim Town Mor. Both being the Kasur residents were also involved in smuggling of drugs using drones. They had come to supply heroin near Canal Road and Shama. Police conducted a raid on a tip off and arrested them.

512 drug peddlers held

Punjab Police arrested 512 drug peddlers and registered 511 cases against the accused across the province during the last 24 hours. The police recovered 389kg hashish, 2.5kg ice, 11kg heroin, 21kg opium and 5,055 litre liquor from the drug pushers.
