The body of a man was discovered inside a car in the North Nazimabad area on Thursday. The black-tinted car was parked near Landi Kotel Chowrangi and it caught the attention of a nearby security guard, who upon closer inspection, found the body inside. The police were immediately notified.
The car’s windows and doors were closed, with the victim’s body found on the backseat, alongside his slippers placed on the adjacent seat. Additionally, two cigarette packets containing substances suspected to be narcotics were discovered on the dashboard. A bullet casing was also found attached to the seat, although no firearm was found at the scene.
The victim was later identified as 27-year-old Mursil Siddiqui, who worked at a call center. The motive behind the murder was suspected to be personal enmity. Siddiqui was a resident of the North Nazimabad area and had reportedly left home in the evening to meet friends.
The deceased’s body was transported to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Police had gathered evidence from the scene and are examining footage from nearby CCTV cameras as part of their investigation. A case has been registered, and further inquiries are underway.
