Rabbani proposes joint session after Senate elections
Entire nation stands as one in the fight against terrorism: says Rabbani
ISLAMABAD: Former Senate chairman Mian Raza Rabbani on Monday suggested the government to summon a joint sitting of the newly elected Parliament after the Senate elections to discuss the issues related to the security situation in the country and the region and the steps being taken to address them.
“The government needs to take the people into confidence as to why the incidents have resurfaced and what steps are being taken to control the terrorism-related issues,” he said while condemning the recent incidents of terrorism, in which the officers and Jawan’s of the armed forces were targeted.
Rabbani said that there has been a steady increase in the terrorism-related incidents in the recent past, particularly in KP and Balochistan. “Entire nation stands as one in the fight against terrorism,” he added.
