LAHORE:Justice Asim Hafeez of Lahore High Court has asked the Chief Executive Cantonment Board and others to respond within two weeks while preventing the Lahore Cantonment Board from collecting property tax.

After the 18th constitutional amendment, the board no longer has the authority to collect property tax. The Sindh High Court has also revoked the cantonment board's authority to collect property tax. Issuing notices, the court declares the property tax demand notice and authority of the Lahore Cantonment Board null and void.
