ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has granted a one-year extension to Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu as Chief of Air Staff (CAS).
Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, who took over the command of PAF on March 19, 2021, is the 16th PAF chief and he was going to retire on March 18 (today).
President Asif Ali Zardari signed the summary received from the prime minister regarding an extension to PAF chief on Sunday evening. Air Chief Marshal Zaheer will lead the flypast on the Pakistan Day Parade on March 23.
