MANSEHRA: The newly elected MNA, Shahzada Gustasap Khan, on Saturday said he would spend all his energies to address core issues faced by the people in constituency his NA-15.

“I have taken the oath of MNA and now will work for the uplift of people of my constituency,” he told a gathering in Shinkiari town.

The jubilant crowd, including Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf workers and activists, received Gustasap Khan on his arrival here from Islamabad for the first time after taking the oath of a lawmaker.

“My rival party made all possible bids to intercept notification of my victory but the Election Commission of Pakistan decided this case on merit and set aside a petition moved by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz supreme leader Nawaz Sharif seeking withholding of final results,” he added.

Khan said his constituency was stretched widely over to rural parts of the Mansehra and neighbouring erstwhile a tribal belt of Torghar district.

“The people of Torghar have still been living without basic necessities and I would ensure that all mega development projects announced by the federal government in the past might be executed,” he added.

Meanwhile, Laiq Mohammad Khan, who has joined Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf after being elected MPA from Torghar’s only provincial assembly’s constituency as an independent, said the health and other projects inaugurated by him in the last government would be completed.
