Seminar on ‘Online sale of books’

LAHORE: Urdu Science Board (USB) organised a seminar ‘Online sale of books; possibilities, problems and solutions’ here on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, USB Director Zia Ullah Khan Toru said that the promotion of book reading in society was the first national responsibility of academic and literary organisations. He said that the importance and need of printed books would never end.
He informed the participants that according to the requirements of the modern era, the board was also planning to introduce e-books and digital books along with printed books. The readers would be able to use USB publications online. Gul Faraz Ahmad, said that e-commerce had made it easier to sell books online, but there were many problems too.
