A single bench of Justice Fazal-e-Subhan heard the plea for an extension in bail filed by the PTI leader. Kamran Bangash had served as a minister in the provincial cabinet when the party was in power.

Ali Zaman appeared for the petitioner. He submitted to the court that four cases of the same nature had been lodged against his client. The lawyer said a court had quashed the case registered against his client in the Kohistan district, pleading to the court to scrap the one lodged in the Chitral district.

The judge asked the counsel for the petitioner about the complainant in the case, Kifayatullah. The counsel said he remained unknown. The court adjourned the hearing into the case after extending the interim bail to the fourth of the next month.

Kamran Bangash has been accused of making provocative speeches and inciting people against the state during the May 9 violence. Various cases were registered against him for these charges.

Talking to the media on the court premises, the PTI leader alleged that a drama was staged in Peshawar during the February 8 general elections. He demanded the formation of a judicial commission to dig out facts.
