Three commit suicide

LAHORE

Three persons including a 16-year old girl committed suicide in different parts of the City on Monday.

Police have handed over bodies to their families. In Civil Lines, a 16-year old girl named Fatima shot at and injured herself.

She was rushed to hospital where she died. Police said the victim was mentally retarded and she was alone at the home at the time of incident. 

Separately, 26-year old Shayan committed suicide over unemployment in the Mustafabad police limits. 

In another incident, a 30-year old man named Basharat committed suicide by opening fire at his temple in the Naseerabad police limits. 

Campaign: CTO Tayyab Cheema has launched an awareness campaign to discourage wheelie-doers and those using unspecified number plates in the provincial metropolis on Monday.

Safe City: To review progress on the Safe City Project, Lahore, a high level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera at Central Police Office, Lahore on Monday.
