Imran says this is not politics but freedom struggle

ISLAMABAD: PTI founder Imran Khan has said this is not politics but a freedom movement.

Talking informally to the media in the Adiala Jail, Imran Khan said that a fugitive is being given VIP protocol. Azam Khan was kidnapped and held hostage for 40 days.

He said what is happening with the media is unprecedented as the media has been completely controlled. “Since 25th May 2023, efforts are being made to crush our party,” he said. “They tried to kill me twice. Local leadership of PTI was arrested. I will not negotiate with anyone for power,” he said. “We tried to bring electronic voting machine, it would have eliminated 80 percent rigging. Nawaz Sharif has not done anything till date, there is a huge economic crisis in Pakistan at the moment,” Imran Khan said. “Open trial of our cases is not going on,” he said. He said the PTI had never shied away from negotiations with politicians. But the negotiations would only be on fair and transparent elections.

He said political engineering has sunk the ship of the country. “In the current situation, no one can stop PTI from winning election. We have given a call to come out on Sunday for election campaign,” he said.
