Due to a clash between two student organisations on Monday, the activities of student groups have been banned at the University of Karachi.
In this regard, Adviser Student Affairs Dr Nosheen Raza has issued a formal notification which says: “All activities of student groups associated with various political parties are prohibited with immediate effect until further orders. This is issued with the approval of the Vice Chancellor.”
On Monday evening, a group of students armed with sticks reportedly barged into the administration building to beat two students of the opposing student body, after which Rangers and police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
