PPP tells CEC code of conduct being violated in NA-190 Jacobabad
ISLAMABAD: In-charge Central Election Monitoring Cell of Pakistan Peoples Party Senator Taj Haider Thursday drew the attention of the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) to an alleged violation of the code of conduct in NA-190 (Jacobabad).
In a letter addressed, he informed the CEC that an independent candidate Muhammad Mian Soomro was violating the election code of conduct blatantly with the connivance of the police. Taj Haider attached two video clips with his letter, saying that full police protocol was being provided to the candidate.
He said the process was spreading fears among voters and creating an impression that the independent candidate was above the law, and he had already been selected. "We request you to kindly take action under the law which provides a deterrent to other persons as well,” he concluded.
