Another 34 flights cancelled due to fog

KARACHI: Heavy fog in different parts of the country, including Islamabad, has disrupted air operations severely.

Another 34 flights from various airports have been cancelled. The number of cancelled flights has reached 64 in two days.

The PIA air schedule has been severely affected due to disruption of Islamabad’s flight operations. Fifteen flights from Islamabad Airport were cancelled and 32 unusually delayed.

Doha-Islamabad PK 288, Karachi flight ER 502 and Al Ain flight PK 144 landed at Lahore. Lahore-Jeddah flight PK 760 landed at Karachi. Lahore-Jeddah flight PK 860 landed in Islamabad, while Dubai-Islamabad PK 212 at Karachi.

According to the flight schedule, Islamabad-Skardu flight PK 451, 452, Gilgit 605, 606, Sukkur 631, 632, Abu Dhabi PK 262, Jeddah PK 741, Doha PK 287, Dubai PK 233 Karachi-Islamabad private airline flight 9P674, 9P675, ER 504 and Karachi PK 319 were cancelled.

Two flights of a private airline from Islamabad to Samarkand, two flights for Dubai, two flights of private airlines for Karachi could not be operated. Peshawar-Abu Dhabi PK 217, Doha-Peshawar PK 286, Sharjah-Lahore PK 186, Karachi-Lahore ER 520, 525, Karachi-Peshawar 9P866, 9P865 Sharjah-Karachi OV 3308, Karachi-Sukkur PK 536, 537, Ningbo-Karachi cargo flights YG 9143 and YG 9144 were cancelled. Salam Airline Muscat-Multan flight OV 537 and Dubai-Multan PK 222 have also been cancelled.
