MULTAN: Justice Muhammad Tariq Nadeem of the Lahore High Court Multan Bench has ordered the Muzaffargarh DPO not to harass former Punjab governor Ghulam Mustafa Khar, his wife Avnia Mustafa Khar, and their proposers and seconders.
According to the petition, Malik Ghulam Mustafa Khar and his wife Avnia Khar said they had submitted their nomination papers for NA-180.
The petition cited the prolonged harassment of Pakistan Tehreek Insaf leaders by police, extending to their families, and said Khar’s in-laws were also facing harassment and threats of involvement in various cases, which goes against the principles of free and fair elections. The petitioners sought the court’s intervention to halt police harassment, ensuring their unrestricted participation in the upcoming election.
