ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir attended an Induction and Operationalisation Ceremony on Tuesday, which showcased the newly inducted weapon systems and defence assets of the PAF at an operational base of Pakistan Air Force (PAF).
General Syed Asim Munir attended the distinguished ceremony as the chief guest. He lauded the operational preparedness of the Pakistan Air Force in incorporating state-of-the-art weapon systems, substantially contributing to ensuring the balance of power in the region.
While emphasizing the significance of indigenisation and human resource development, the COAS wholeheartedly endorsed the PAF’s dedication to technological advancements and operational excellence, reassuring that the armed forces of Pakistan are fully prepared to thwart any aggression.
General Asim Munir also appreciated the PAF’s efforts in the transportation of relief goods for the victims of Gaza conflict.
Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu highlighted the latest inductions in the PAF’s arsenal, comprising of J-10C fighter jets, air mobility platforms, modern radars, unmanned aerial systems, loitering munition capabilities, and long-range vectors, which have significantly bolstered the aerial defence capabilities of the country.
The CAS also mentioned that the Centre of
Excellence for Air Mobility and Aviation Safety, College of Air Defence and
reinvigoration of the Air Power Centre of Excellence, along with the operationalisation of National Aerospace Science and Technology Park have provided PAF with the capability to stay abreast of the evolving challenges.
Earlier, upon arrival at the base, the chief of army staff was received by Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu.Following the ceremony, a spectacular airshow was conducted, featuring various PAF fighter jets, training aircraft and UAVs. The army chief and the attendees later witnessed a static display showcasing the diverse PAF fighter, air mobility and UAV fleet.
