Society for Cultural Education in collaboration with ‘Thaap’ will organise a special session on Anna Molka Ahmed, a renowned artist and art teacher of the sub-continent, titled ‘Remembering Anna Molka Ahmed at 37-D, Main Gulberg at 4pm today.
A press statement on Wednesday said that the upcoming University of Culture and Art has already set up an archives as one of it's resource centers and within that capacity, among its first few acquisitions are the documents that belong to a pioneering artist of Pakistan and an eminent educationist Prof. Anna Molka Ahmed.
These archived documents that comprise her sketch books, lecture notes, personal letters and photographs are priceless treasures that display her trajectory as an artist and as an educationist.
To introduce the public to the recently acquired archives and to pay tribute to this legendary personality on her 21st death anniversary, SCE in collaboration with Thaap has put up a selection of Anna Molka's prints, her lecture notes on aesthetics and art, along with some of her photographs.
