JWP to hold intra-party polls next month
ISLAMABAD: Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) will hold its intra-party elections next month.
Talking to The News, JWP President Shazain Bugti said his party holds its party elections in accordance to its constitution and rules/regulations regularly.
“Conducting the party elections are not an easy task but it’s the requirement of the election laws as every party has to fulfil the obligation in fair manner,” said Bugti.
The JWP is a registered political party with Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and its election symbol is wheel. The JWP was established in 1989 by Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, who had served as governor as well as chief minister Balochistan.
Shazain Bugti is the current president of the party and contesting for the National Assembly seat from his native constituency of Dera Bugti. He became president of JWP after the death of his father Talal Akbar Bugti in April 2015.
